"The shape and proportions of the candlestick have long been with me in my mind and were quick to draw. It is a direct translation of the right height, weight and elegance I have long been looking for at auctions and antique dealers. My interpretation of a stately functionalist candlestick from the early 30s, which stands stately in all its simplicity but at the same time stands out as a sculpture thanks to its height and decorative elements." – says Marie-Louise.
