Description

Lukas Göthman is a Stockholm-based artist whose oeuvre focuses on travel, both self-experienced and those built up of fiction and dreams. "The monsters have followed the work over the years. Sometimes as metaphors and figuratives in the story I'm working on. Originally in text form, in recent years as wooden sculptures or clay figures. Model clay during the breaks when painting. A little careless and hasty with my bare hands. It fits well, they are such monsters, careless and not so scary, often sad. Quite loving. Depressed monsters. The collaboration with Skultuna has many good reasons besides Skultuna's willingness to cast my clay figures."
