Description
Ivar Ålenius Björk (1905 - 1978) worked as a sculptor and is best known for his busts. His public decorations can be seen today in many Swedish cities. Ivar Ålenius Björk designed a series of brass candlesticks for the Swedish manufacturer Ystad-Metall, which was closed down in 1969. The lily was one of these candlesticks and it has become a modern design classic that has appeared in many international interiors. In collaboration with Ivar Ålenius Björk's relatives, Skultuna has now started production of Liljan again. Designed for the 1939 New York World's Fair.
Never leave candles unattended. Do not let the candles burn all the way, but extinguish them before they reach the candle holder. Also keep in mind that some surfaces can be extra sensitive to heat. If you are unsure about the tabletop properties, you can exercise extra caution.
