Description
Tove Jansson's incredible Moomin alphabet has so far not received much attention. Her insightful literature and hand-drawn alphabets highlight the possibilities that can be created with the help of letters. The alphabet is based on Moominvalley maps, illustrations from Moominpappa's memoirs and on the pictures that Tove Jansson drew for the Red Cross and UNICEF in the sixties and eighties.
The "From A to Z with Moomin" initiative brings together charities around the world to make reading and writing a more important and enjoyable part of the lives of children, young people and adults. The joint effort makes it possible for the company Moomin Characters to spread reading inspiration and support a rich language. © Moomin Characters TM
